Abstract

This Book of Abstracts summarises how the 26 qualified abstracts emerged from the GCNM 10th AGM & Scientific Conference 2025 review process, their thematic and methodological distribution, and their collective contribution to nursing and midwifery knowledge in Ghana and across Africa.

The 26 qualified abstracts span all four conference sub-themes, with the largest concentration (50%) addressing Evidence-based Practice, Research and Policy — reflecting a strong empirical orientation among Ghanaian nurse-researchers. Abstracts relating to Investing in Nursing and Midwifery Specialisation form the second-largest cluster, echoing the conference’s central call for specialist-level investment. Thirteen abstracts address Evidence-based Practice, Research and Policy; seven address Investing in Nursing and Midwifery Specialisation; four address Nurse/Midwife-led Models of Care; and two address Interprofessional Collaboration and Education..

This book of abstracts supplies the missing relational layer. It reconstructs, from the abstracts exactly as submitted, the connective architecture that binds them — the clinical continuities, shared systemic concerns, methodological convergences, and collaboration networks that make this volume a coherent body of evidence rather than a catalogue of twenty-six separate studies. Crucially, the framework presented in this volume is not superimposed on the abstracts; it is derived from them by an explicit and reproducible procedure, described first so that every claim that follows can be audited against the abstract entries in this volume.
